Saigon Thirteen is made by Stratford Meridian Labs LLC. This policy describes
what the app does with your information. The short version: offline play collects
nothing; the optional online features use the minimum an anonymous leaderboard and a private
room need — and voice chat is never recorded. Helping improve the AI is optional and off by default.
Data we collect
There are no ads, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking of
any kind. We never sell or share data. The only data our servers ever hold:
Weekend League scores — if you play the optional weekly competition, we
store a random anonymous player id (generated on your device, not tied to your identity), the
display name you choose, your scores, and the gameplay record of your league deals (the cards
dealt and moves made), which we use only to verify fair play. That's the whole leaderboard.
Private room relay — while an online room is open, game moves pass through
our relay server and the current game state is held in memory so players can reconnect. Rooms
and their state are automatically purged shortly after the table goes quiet. There is no text
chat, and nothing about a room is kept afterward.
Voice chat — voice in a private room streams live between the players in
that room and is never recorded, stored, or analyzed — by us or anyone else.
The microphone is off until you turn it on, and you can mute any player at any time.
"Help improve the AI" (off unless you turn it on) — if you switch this on
in Profile, the app sends the record of finished offline and pass-and-play games: the
deal, the cards played, and the finishing order. We use it for one thing — teaching the
computer opponents to play more like real people. It carries no name, no account, no
photo, no voice, and it never includes online rooms. It is tagged with a random code
that identifies the device only, is not connected to your player id, your league entries or
Sign in with Apple, and cannot be traced back to you. We keep these game records for
12 months, after which they are deleted automatically. You can switch it off
at any time, and "Delete my recorded games" on the same screen erases
everything your device has sent. Nothing you have purchased depends on this setting, and the
game plays identically either way.
Signing in with Apple is optional, never required to play, and the identifier Apple provides
stays on your device — our servers never see it.
Where your content lives
Everything else — your house-rule preferences, Ladder progress, stats, and settings — is
stored locally on your device and never leaves it. Deleting the app deletes this data. If you use iCloud device backups, your
device may include the app's local data in your own backup; that backup belongs to you and is
governed by Apple's iCloud terms, not by us.
Permissions the app requests
Microphone — only for voice chat in private online rooms, only after you
tap the mic on. Audio streams live to the other players at your table and is never recorded
or stored anywhere.
The permission is used only while you use that feature. Offline play requests nothing.
Purchases
Saigon Thirteen offers a one-time Pro unlock and a non-renewing Host Pass, both processed by
Apple. We receive no payment details — Apple handles the transaction under its own privacy
policy. The core game is free forever and shows no ads, ever.
Children
Saigon Thirteen is a family game rated 4+. It has no ads, no chat rooms with strangers
(rooms are private and invite-only), and the league needs only a made-up display name. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children; a child can play everything without
entering anything about themselves. The optional "Help improve the AI" setting is off unless
someone turns it on, and what it sends is a record of cards played — it contains no personal
information about anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Saigon Thirteen ever changes how it handles data, we will update this
page and the date above before that version ships, and reflect the change in the App Store
privacy label.
